How to Need Less Sleep
It’s very important for people to get enough sleep. Juggling 2 jobs at the same time and managing your home may mean not sleeping enough. If you’re sleepy all the time, here are some tips you can follow to need less sleep.
Sleep soundly. It’s not about how long you keep your eyes shut, it’s about getting a restful sleep. Most of the time, even when you go to sleep, you wake up feeling tired. When it’s time to rest make sure that you’re really resting. Avoid distractions, like your mobile phone. Turn it off and keep the curtains down. Make your room suitable for sleep. This way, even though you don’t get that required 8 hours of sleep, you’ve rested well.
Avoid caffeine at night. When you drink coffee a few hours before going to bed, you won’t be able to rest as your cells are still stimulated. Don’t let your body get used to that artificial boost. When you drink less coffee, you’ll be able to sleep soundly at night and wake up feeling good even when you’ve only had a few hours of sleep.
Get busy. Don’t waste your precious time turning in bed to get some sleep. Lie down when you’re tired enough to sleep.
Exercise. Physical activities will prevent you from wanting to sleep during the day.
Eat healthy. Getting enough nutrients will help you lower down your risk of getting diseases caused by lack of sleep. Eat foods that can boost your energy and improve your immune system.
Take supplements. To make sure that you’re getting the right amount of nutrients, ask your doctor about the different supplements you can take. This way, you’ll be able to fight off stress and avoid illnesses.
